Pride Trough artistic expression my heart on a canvas
What pride means to me... my pride is my courage to wake up everyday and be me. To stay original, humble, and kind. To stay smart to stay sane, and of course to stay skating.
Finally coming to terms with your uniqueness.
Pride for me was standing up for myself. Just last year I was able to get away from a very abusive parent who brought me down a lot. She made me feel like I would never be enough. It wasnt until I painted this board that I knew I was. Art has always had a special place in my art, and so has the sea (because its always been such an unstoppable force). I painted this as a self tribute, but was able to give it to someone who could admire it and know who it came from. The ability to grow and let go has been a huge change in my life and has made me prideful in the work I do today :)
I wanted to make this illustration to show people that the way you dress and the way you are as a person does not affect the people around you. Believing that your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters is my definition of pride.
pride is standing in your truth, no matter how un conventional

“What does pride mean to you” Pride to me is an action, a verb, it's something you put into motion. The way I put my pride in motion is through my blog website about the strong and rich hip hop culture of San Antonio, Texas, that has been online for ten years. I have won awards for my photography and journalism because of the fantastic works of these creators and they all need to be recognized worldwide, that is why I also market my website outside of the USA. This is what pride is to me and how I express it to the world via #iPushSA goingsouthmagazine.com!!
a poem i put 111% of my efforts into this. i hope i can be considered. I hope I can be considered.
a reflection won’t fix your problems, but it definitely helps. Be proud of yourself.
Painting about Being proud of the different aspects of your person. Showing your true colors.
Finally accepting yourself and being proud to show every part of you.
This picture stands out because it’s not like the rest. When you look at instagram all you see are basic pictures of girls in the mirror or standing like a thot. This picture shows happiness and joy. It’s not like the rest
TO me, pride is a firm statement. Being proud of something means you aren't afraid to tell others, even when they judge you for it. Pride shows that you love and embrace something - whether it be an attribute of yourself or a creation. when you share the object of pride with others, there is no shame or cowering- Only empowerment and individuality.
This piece is pretty much what my mind threw up onto the Paper. It incorporates vivid color, a representation of pride in my sexuality and pride myself as an artist. The figure in the middle is an abstract version of myself and the loving outlook I would like to share with the world.
This was a piece inspired by a guy who took pride in his really awesome style.
For me, Pride comes from My background. Where I came from, who I grew up with, and who I became as a result. I am proud to be born in Japan, proud to have grown in CA, and proud to be a New Yorker. I am also proud to have known my friends, and proud to be a part of my family. I am proud to be me.
Pride is the perfect balance between ego and respect. Pride is what prompted my wife to pick up this canvas and paint and for me to grab my medium and add to it. Pride is what tears my family apart but keeps my chosen one together. Pride is why we made it out of the womb and what keeps us going each and every day in the face of adversity. Pride is loving, living, learning and applying each day unto the next.
Pride is the feeling of total completion. To look at the world and feel accepted and love. Having pride brings a sense of serenity to me.
My art is an attempt to express what it is I see in people. Pride is everything, but it can kill ya too, just keep your priorities in line..
what does pride mean to me? Pride comes just before the fall, to be happy with ones work is one thing but too much pride takes away from true unity.
Having pride means that you are beleiving in yourself instead of having thise who would "believe" in you. Dont wait, go out and take action!
Pride is an incredible force- It is One that paves a path for individuals, groups, societies to develop a realm that emits confidence, perseverance, passion, and success.
Being home with my family, wearing my uniform, and watching my brother graduate from college. That is what pride is about.
For me pride is hiking for 10hrs with 50 pounds of gear to get to the top of one of the most active volcanoes in the world

To me, pride means To be worthy trhough action. The piece I made represents this meaning as it shows someone giving words of advice, using a Shakespeare quote.
Pride to me means providing a voice that is unstoppable! A voice full of authenticity and value; one that is louder than the rest. Art has provided many doors regarding expression and individuality, while remaining a safe-space for a lot of people. I believe that every voice matters and should be heard through work!
pride to me is being able to express yourself in any way shape or form that you feel confident putting yourself fully into. For me Art, and skateboarding are ways i feel i can fully be myself and take pride in what i make

pride to me is the ability to show vulnerability and emotion. The idea of showing how “human” one can be towards yourself or another exemplifies; courage, maturity, and bravery. — this is my original collage art using photoshop and free images online— I wanted to show “pride” in this piece personally because I’m very self conscious of the ocean and by putting myself under. I see the beauty in the water, neglected fishes, and the society that ruins its ecosystems. Us.
Hey, my name is vajra I’m a regular high school gal. Bio, I sing, skate, play instruments and draw but for this I wrote a poem. I’m from New York City and want to rep my area.
PRIDE TO ME IS EMBRACING YOUR TALENTS, YOUR SKILL, AND YOUR SELF LOVE. REGARDLESS OF WHAT STAGE OF LIFE YOU'RE AT, AS LONG AS YOU CARRY PRIDE WITH YOU, YOU'LL MAKE IT FAR IN THIS WORLD. I TRY MY BEST AND CONTINUE TO PUT MY BEST FOOT FORWARD WHETHER IT BE ARTWORK OR ACTUAL WORK AND THE PRICE IS IN THE PUDDING AS THEY SAY.
Pride is the focus you have on your self. The things about you, you feel stand out the most or, are your strongest areas. I take pride in my life and it’s reflections in my work. I take pride in my craftsmanship. And nothing can end that.
Surreal art by colored pencil. Strawscary is about being yourself no matter how scary, weird, or outlandish you may seem to outsiders.
to stand up to anyone who disagrees with your pride I believe into what I want to I'm not gonna let some bum fuck with my pride. Nothing will change it pride is to be committed to it never back down take sacrifices f0r your pride and if it kills you then you know you did something right in life.

My pride means to me, that you should always be proud of your dreams and thoughts, no matter how unorthadox.
I call it judgement day because my mom used to say that when I was three i would raw judgement day and recite the verse she said how I used to say I was a holy man and she wasn’t my mother and so I made a painting to keep the memory.
The school took my skate board so I continued to bring skateboards to school as a protest they did not let me go to my school dance and so I made this propaganda poster of my school principal

THIS MY PRIDE, MYSELF AS AN ARTIST. I WANT TO PROUD OF MY WORK. BECAUSE THIS IS ME.
Taking pride in the small joys in life, like an action figure scene, this painting appreciates and celebrates smaller occurrences that inspire creativity within myself and my artistic development
